I am currently considering a tractor in the BX2230/B7510 category. I don't know a whole lot about tractors, but these two look pretty similar on paper, although the B7510 prices out quite higher. I am wondering if there is perhaps a significant differnece between the two that I am missing.
I will equip this with a front end loader; brush hog; and box blade.

i considered both for work on hunting property. i have not bought one yet but i have ruled out the bx series.
the b series looks as though it will be much better suited for bush hogging unimproved areas. if you plan to maintain a residence the bx looks tough to beat.
i had settled on the b7610 but i am considering a land purchase and if that takes place i plan to buy a L4400.

The better ground clearance of the B is a must for brush cutting. The BX is better on finished lawns ....

As a BX owner, I can agree with the others that a BX is no good in the rough. If I had it to do over, I would have consideed the B series more than I did.
Now that I'm moving to my larger piece of land, the shortcommings of the "lawn biased" BX are becomming more apparent. There is PLENTY of power there, just not enough weight and ground clearance for "off-Lawn" advventures.
If you can afford it, go large. ....

I find that the larger tires do ride a bit better and the loader does lift more but you are still stuck with a 60" deck. ....

I started with a BX2200 and traded it back to dealer after 100 hours for a B7800 since I do more other work than mowing. B series will pull boxblade alot better than BX due to traction between B and BX. I also bought a BX1500 to supplement the mowing work. B series are heavier, buckets bigger and they are higher off the ground. The B's will save time over BX, if that's worth more than money to you. ....

One important thing to remember is that the BX has a lousey design for he rear cooling fan for the hydro unit. If you do any type of high brush hogging you will get a stick up there and break a blade of the cheap plastic fan. It's a real PITA to fix!
Not sure if thr B is the same but the BX is not a good choice to brush hog with unless you make a skid plate.
Just my 3 cents worth. But I love my BX2200 and can do pretty much anything I want to with it. ....
